Red Wagon Café

Located in the East Vancouver neighbourhood, Red Wagon Cafe serves up some of the tastiest brunch in the entire city – and the biggest portions too. Perfect for people who aren’t hungry in the morning, the eatery’s brunch menu is available to order until 5 p.m. Red Wagon is best known for its “The Trucker” and “The Super Trucker” plates, which contain pancakes, eggs, home fries, toast, and your choice of meats. There’s always a line out the door, so be sure to arrive early.

Jam Café

With three locations dotted around Vancouver, Jam Café is a great brunch spot where you’re exploring the downtown area, the Kitsilano neighbourhood, or the Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. Since 2012, Jam Café blends rustic charm with Southern-inspired dishes, including fluffy pancake stacks, fried chicken french toast, and eggs benedicts on cornbread. Make sure to get to the restaurant early, because the line to get a table can reach a block long. Jam Café closes at 2 p.m. on weekdays and 3:00 p.m. on weekends.

Honeybee Bruncheonette
- Location: 789 Gore Ave.
A counter service only gem in Vancouver’s Chinatown, Honeybee Bruncheonette is known for its breakfast sandwiches served on thick pieces of sourdough. With only a handful of items on the menu, Honeybee is a great choice for indecisive brunch lovers. Some of the most popular items include the sweet (or savoury) ricotta pancakes, the shakshuka, and the breakfast sandwich with ham and/or avocado.

Greenhorn Cafe
- Location: 994 Nicola St.
Situated in the heart of Vancouver’s West End, Greenhorn Cafe is best known for its selection of scrumptious eggs benedicts. But its menu has other items to choose from too, from Belgian waffles to a harissa shakshuka to avocado toast. Greenhorn Cafe also has a long coffee and tea menu including cappuccinos, mochas, and chai lattes. Be sure to go earlier in the day, as the diner closes at 3 p.m. on weekdays and 3:30 p.m. on weekends.

Palate Kitchen
- Location: 848 W Hastings St.
Located in Vancouver’s financial district, Palate Kitchen offers breakfast, brunch/lunch, a coffee menu, and even high tea. Its menu offers the usual offerings, such as eggs benedict and a breakfast plate with eggs and bacon, but hungry diners can also choose their specialty food items, like the kefta skillet, lamb bistro toast, and huevos rotos. Palate is only open until 4 p.m. on Sundays and Mondays, but is open until 9 p.m. all other days of the week.
