Pride Week is almost here, Vancouver, and with everything from drag shows to soirées at English Bay, there are so many ways to celebrate!
While June is traditionally celebrated as Pride Month, we know Vancouver marches to the beat of its own drum, putting on Pride celebrations annually during the last week of July and over the August long weekend. This year’s festivities include a flag-raising ceremony at City Hall, a family-friendly market, beach parties, block parties, and so much more.

Flag Raising at Vancouver City Hall
Where: 453 W. 12th Ave, Vancouver
When: Monday July 27
Head to Vancouver City Hall for the official beginning of Pride Week. City officials will help the local Queer community mark Pride with a reading of the 2026 Pride Week Proclamation, followed by the raising of both the Inclusive Pride flag and the Trans flag.
It’s unclear what time the flag raising will occur. Now Vancouver reached out to city hall for clarification but did not hear back in time for publication.
Pride Market & Summer Gathering at Kiwassa Neighbourhood House
Where: Kiwassa Neighbourhood House, 2425 Oxford St.
When: Wednesday, July 29, 3:00-6:00 p.m.
This market and community gathering is bringing Queer people in V together for an afternoon celebrating local talent, creativity and connection. Open to everyone and free to attend, the event offers a welcoming space to shop, socialize and embrace the spirit of Pride while supporting local artists and community organizations.
Visitors can browse artisan vendors and handmade crafts, enjoy live performances, including Bushy Park’s signature “Gender Flipped Queer Country” music, and take part in interactive activities throughout the day. Community information booths, a raffle draw and complimentary snacks round out the festivities, making it a fun and family-friendly celebration of inclusion and community. Pride is Awesome Party
When: Thursday, July 30, 6:00-10:00 p.m.
Where: Bayside Lounge, 1755 Davie St.
Kick off Pride Weekend in style at the inaugural Pride is Awesome Party, a celebration taking over the picturesque English Bay and promising attendees an evening of entertainment, community and Pride spirit. The party brings together live music, DJs, performances and delectable themed food and drinks, with a portion of all ticket sales going to the Vancouver Pride Society, supporting the incredible work they do for local 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
Guests can enjoy sets from live DJs, a special performance by Tracey Bell as Madonna, complimentary beer, wine and cocktail tastings, Pride-themed swag and a festive photo wall. Whether you’re catching up with friends or making new ones, the celebration offers a lively way to start the biggest weekend of Vancouver Pride. Tickets are $30 and available on Eventbrite.
Queer as Funk
When: Friday, July 31, 7:00 p.m.
Where: Commodore Ballroom
Celebrate the start of Pride Weekend with Queer as Funk, a high-energy night of live music, dance and queer joy at one of the city’s most iconic venues. The event brings together Vancouver’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community for an unforgettable evening of performances, celebration and connection as Pride festivities move into their biggest weekend.
Featuring the acclaimed local 2SLGBTQIA+ band Queer as Funk, self-proclaimed as part-advocates, part-funk-revivalists, the show blends powerful vocals, infectious energy and a party atmosphere that honours queer artists and audiences. Whether you’re kicking off Pride Weekend or looking for a night of music and community, this event is a perfect way to start the celebrations.
Tickets are general admission and priced around $60.
Vancouver Pride Beach House
Where: English Bay, 750 Beach Ave.
When: Saturday, August 1 – Monday, August 3,
Celebrate Pride Weekend at the Vancouver Pride Beach House, a waterfront hub of community programming, live entertainment and fundraising running Saturday-Monday. The weekend-long programming kicks off on Saturday and includes donation-based beach parties with music, DJs and community activities, creating a relaxed gathering place before and after the city’s biggest Pride events.
The celebration continues on Sunday with the Vancouver Pride “Beach House” Legacy Fundraiser & Awards, which honours community leaders and raises money to support the Vancouver Pride Society’s ongoing work. Find tickets for the award show on Eventbrite, starting at around $29.
The festivities wrap up on the holiday Monday with a community brunch featuring live entertainment, offering one final opportunity to celebrate Pride together. Brunch is priced at $15 per person.
Vancouver Pride Boat Party
When: Saturday, Aug. 1, 7:00-11:00 p.m.
Where: Burrard Queen, 760 Pacific Blvd., Dock A
Get your Pride on from the water aboard a high-energy Pride Boat Party, where guests can dance across two levels while cruising through Vancouver Harbour. The evening features live DJs spinning everything from Top 40 and disco to EDM and throwbacks, along with panoramic sunset views, a rooftop dance floor and a licensed bar.
Open to members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies alike, the event offers a colourful, inclusive atmosphere for one of Vancouver’s most unique Pride celebrations. Partygoers are encouraged to dress in their boldest Pride looks as they take in the city skyline and celebrate late into the evening. Tickets are available as long as supplies last through Aug. 1 and start around $87.
Public Disco Pride Block Party
Where: 60 West 3rd Ave.
When: Saturday, Aug. 1, 4:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Public Disco’s Pride Block Party returns to Mount Pleasant for a night of dancing, community and queer celebration, transforming the neighbourhood into an art-filled outdoor dance space. Curated by Jesse Walker and DJ dood, the event brings together local and international talent across disco, house and techno, with a Street Stage takeover showcasing Vancouver’s queer underground sounds.
The 19+ celebration features multiple dance floors, genre-spanning DJ sets and a community-focused atmosphere built around connection, creativity and chosen family. With a portion of ticket proceeds supporting Vancouver Pride Society’s Bursary Program for equity-deserving 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, the event offers a chance to celebrate while giving back. The party is ticketed, with entry set at around $54.
Vancouver Pride Parade
When: Sunday, Aug. 2 from 1:00-3:30 p.m.
Where: Downtown Vancouver
The Vancouver Pride Parade is the city’s biggest 2SLGBTQIA+ celebration, and the third largest Pride in Canada – coming behind only Toronto and Montreal. The annual affair brings together thousands of people from throughout Metro Vancouver, across Canada, and around the world for a vibrant display of community, visibility and solidarity. The event fills the streets with colourful floats, marching groups, performers and community organizations, celebrating the diversity and resilience of Vancouver’s 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
The parade starts at Pacific Blvd, near BC Place, and travels to Howe St. and Pacific Blvd. before wrapping near Davie Street in the city’s west end. This endpoint transitions directly into the Davie Village Pride Festival, which features live performances, street vendors, and community gatherings.
More than just a celebration, the parade is a powerful expression of Pride’s roots in activism and a reminder of the ongoing work toward equality and inclusion. From longtime community leaders to first-time participants, the event welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds to come together in support of 2SLGBTQIA+ rights, joy and belonging.
Davie Village Pride Party
When: Sunday, Aug. 2
Where: Davie St. from Burrard to Jervis (2:00 to 10:00 p.m. ) and Nelson Park (2:00-9:00 p.m.)
See Davie Village come alive with a vendor market, live performances and non-stop dancing on the final day of Vancouver Pride. The Davie Village Pride Party transforms one of Vancouver’s iconic Queer neighbourhoods into a vibrant celebration of community, music and Pride spirit. In addition to shopping, dancing and places to grab a bite or drink, the street party is a great opportunity to connect with friends, support local businesses, and mix and mingle with other Queer people.
A signature event of Vancouver Pride Weekend, the celebration honours the history and heart of Davie Village while creating a welcoming space for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies. With colourful festivities, local talent and a joyful atmosphere, the street party is a must-attend event for anyone looking to experience Vancouver’s 2SLGBTQIA+ culture at its fullest.
