Pride celebrations are kicking off around Vancouver this weekend, and there are plenty of Sapphic celebrations lined up for this year’s festivities.

Vancouver has a full line-up for this year’s Pride week. Running with the theme “Unapologetically Queer,” there are markets, parties, marches and more taking over the city for the last week of July and right through the long weekend. 

And while Pride is known for being a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, it can be nice to party with your own community. So for the women-loving-women, the Sapphics among us, here are five parties by us and for us happening in Vancouver over the next week.

Pride Opening Weekend

Hot New Lesbian Party

Where: The Birdhouse

When: Saturday, July 25, 2026

The Birdhouse is turning up the heat for Vancouver Pride with its second annual Hot New Lesbian Party – Pole Edition, a high-energy Sapphic dance party celebrating Queer women, Trans and Non-Binary folks and their communities. The Pride kickoff event will feature an evening of pole performances alongside dance sets from DJs Miss Dani, UG1Y GRL and Bella Sie, creating one of the city’s most anticipated Queer nightlife events for a second year.

Beyond the performances, organizers emphasize community care with a pay-what-you-can ticket option, a zero-tolerance safer-spaces policy, and an on-site Buddy System staffed by Narcan-trained volunteers who offer water, safer-sex supplies, and support throughout the night. Partial proceeds from the event will also benefit the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre, while organizers reaffirm their commitment to creating an inclusive space that celebrates trans and gender-diverse community members.

The party is currently sold out online, but organizers say that 100 tickets will be available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis.

Babes on Babes Downtown Social

Where: The Palms at The Rec Room, 855 Granville St. 

When: Saturday, July 25, 2026 – 8:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.

Kick off your Pride with Babes on Babes, a popular event organizer that is putting on its first-ever Downtown Social. The evening affair is designed for Queer women, Non-Binary folks and gender-diverse community members looking for a more relaxed night out, promising a stylish, coastal-inspired atmosphere that swaps packed dance floors for great music, games, cocktails and conversation.

Guests can expect DJs Skylar Love and KG Fresh spinning throwback favourites and current hits, free access to the venue’s nine-hole indoor mini-golf course, and a menu of shareable cocktails and coastal-inspired bites served throughout the evening. 

If you’re looking for more of a social event than a club night, this may be the party for you. Babes on Babes events offer a conversation-friendly alternative before the bigger dance parties later on in Pride Week. Pride Festival Weekend

Babes on Babes Pride Closing Party

Where: Fortune Sound Club

When: Sunday, August 2 

In addition to their kick-off event, Babes on Babes is also closing out Vancouver Pride in style, taking over Fortune Sound Club after the parade. Arguably Vancouver’s largest annual Sapphic party, with three dance floors, 15 DJs, performers, and hundreds of queer women and sapphics celebrating until late. It’s consistently one of the hottest tickets of Pride weekend.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Babes on Babes’ legendary Sapphic Queer Pride Closing Party, and the multi-level celebration will transform Fortune Sound Club into three distinct spaces, with more than 15 local and international DJs, live pole and street-style dance performances, and a dedicated chill room for guests looking to recharge between sets. The party will also see a 4th space curated with a more chill vibe in mind, featuring a chill room with couches and a mobile Photo Booth, providing a perfect place of refuge if you need to take a breather.

The lineup includes artists from Hawaiʻi, Montreal, San Diego, Los Angeles and Cairo alongside Vancouver favourites, with music spanning everything from house and hip-hop to Afrobeats. Guests can enjoy Vietnamese street food served throughout the night, making the event as much a social gathering as a dance party. Organizers say the annual celebration is designed as an inclusive space for sapphic, queer, trans and gender-diverse communities to wrap up Pride weekend, with a strict anti-discrimination policy ensuring everyone can celebrate safely. Tickets are currently sold out, but walk-ups are permitted.

Chicas

Where: Sheraton Wall Centre, 1088 Burrard St.

When: Sunday, Aug. 2, 4:00-9:00 p.m.

Chicas is coming back for another iconic post-parade garden party. The event will include an afternoon of music, cocktails and community just steps from Vancouver’s Davie Village. A longstanding Pride tradition, the outdoor event features picnic blankets, unicorn floats, two dance floors and a laid-back atmosphere where attendees can celebrate after the Vancouver Pride Parade with friends old and new.

This year’s lineup is headlined by Los Angeles DJ Amara, whose résumé includes opening for artists like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Chaka Khan, alongside Vancouver favourites Slade, Just K8 and Sarah Cuzzetto. Online tickets have already sold out, though organizers say a limited number of tickets will be available at the door for those who arrive early. The 19+ event welcomes all members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies, with gender-neutral washrooms available throughout the venue.

Hershe Bar Pride

Where: The Red Room

When: Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026, 8:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m.

Hershe Bar, what organizers call Canada’s longest-running Lesbian dance party, is back, and attendees can expect packed dance floors, throwback hits alongside current pop, and a crowd that spans multiple generations of Queer women.

The late-night celebration has become a long-standing Pride weekend staple for many, bringing together 2SLGBTQIA+ community members and allies for an evening of dancing, high-energy performances and connection after the festival’s final day. This year’s event features an international DJ lineup, including Kasey Riot, Dickey Doo, and Vancouver’s Sarah Cuzzetto, alongside the Red Room’s renowned PK Sound system, immersive lighting and live dancers. 

Advance tickets are available for around $30, with a limited number of admissions also offered at the door. Produced by Flygirl, the annual event is part of the organization’s mission to create inclusive spaces where Queer women, gender-diverse people and allies can celebrate Pride while fostering community on and off the dance floor.

Ultra Pride Womyn’s Dance

Where: Vancouver Rowing Club, 450 Stanley Park Dr.

When: Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.

One of Vancouver Pride’s traditions, this waterfront dance party has been bringing together Lesbians and Queer women for decades and offers a slightly more relaxed atmosphere than the nightclub events.

The Womyn’s Pride Dance offers an intimate way to wrap up Pride weekend with beautiful views, dancing and community. The adults-only event has long been a favourite among Queer women and will once again feature music from SISTA J Entertainment DJ Joan St. Kitts, who will keep the dance floor going throughout the evening.

In addition to celebrating Pride, the event will give back to the community through a 50/50 fundraiser supporting Rainbow Refugee, an organization that assists 2SLGBTQIA+ refugees seeking safety in Canada. Tickets are set at $45 and available online.
