Ignite Pizzeria

Founded in 2017, Ignite Pizzeria strived to serve traditional, stone-fired pizza in a modern setting that feels more accessible to the average Vancouverite. Ignite’s first location opened on Main Street but has since expanded to four more storefronts. The pizzeria will be entering North Vancouver this summer. Some of Ignite’s pizzas include: Montreal smoked meat, funghi supreme, pesto chicken, and Yaletown Sunshine.

Pizzeria Ludica

If good pizza, beer, and board games are all you need for a good time, then Pizzeria Ludica is a must visit. With two locations in Vancouver — one in Chinatown at Keefer Place and the other in New Westminster, Ludica offers a wall full of popular (and niche) board games and 40 types of meat, vegetarian, and vegan pizza. The pizzeria recommends staying a maximum of two hours if it’s busy and purchasing at least $20 worth of food and drink per customer.

Virtuous Pie

When Vancouverites think of delicious homegrown pizza, they think of Virtuous Pie. Located in Chinatown on Main Street, Virtuous Pie is a fully planted-based pizza and ice cream shop.
The shop makes everything in-house, including its vegan cheese and ice cream. Its menu offers seven different pizzas, appetizers, mac and cheese, and desserts.

Just Pizza

Just Pizza located on Kingsway in East Vancouver serves just pizza…and salads. Opened recently in August 2024 by Steven Che and Jan Natividad, Just Pizza was born out of a love for sourdough. Its menu is split into two sections: Elevated Classics for when you want a tried and true good pizza, and Adventurous, for the nights when you want to try brussel sprouts or chicken tikka masala on a pizza.

Via Tevere

Boasting nearly 2,600 positive Google reviews, Via Tevere operates two locations in Vancouver that each bring classic Neapolitan flavour to the city. Via Tevere has won Best Pizza awards with both Vancouver Magazine and the Georgia Straight. Its menu offers antipasti, 16 types of pizza, and dessert. Via Tevere also has a booth in the TimeOut Market at Oakridge Park.
